Contesting Europe Corporate Hypocrisy #2 is a video collage (23 minutes) of TV news and fragments of video materials found on the web. It is an extension of the previous video made for the panel wood installation Contesting Europe Corporate Hypocrisy #1 in 2013. It makes clear how racist patterns of white superiority are spread through politicians speeches and actions with the aid of the mass media. Part of this work is also the display of an elementary pupil notebook from the fascist era (The first essay is entitled “Why do I love Duce”) on which back cover we read “Mare Nostrum” (also the title of an operation by the Italian coast guard service in 2013–14), while a dramatic sea battle is depicted on the front.
