Mag.art Annalisa Cannito *1984 in Acqui Terme (IT). Trans-disciplinary artist, independent researcher and political activist working on topics among which history politics, EU immigration policy, common goods, political and water ecologies, food sovereignty, participatory architecture, collective memories, art in public spaces. My main artistic and theoretical research is “In the belly of fascism and colonialism” where I investigate the impact of the fascist and colonialist heritage on contemporary society.

I tend to engage in long-term researches and to deepen the topics involved. I’m pleased to collaborate with other artists and work on community projects. My work is an attempt to translate intricate issues through multi-media installations, performative lectures, archival material and publications.

I’ve studied Post Conceptual Art Practices at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with professor Marina Gržinić (Master degree 2013);  Communication Science at the Literature and Philosophy University of Bologna (Bachelor degree 2007); Biology at the high school I.T.I.S. Barletti of Acqui Terme (Diploma 2003).
